Barry Budreau

There is no easy or just way to pay tribute to a man who meant so much to so many of us. On March 26, 2018, Barry Mathys Budreau drifted away peacefully and with dignity, surrounded by loved ones. Barry was a one-of-a-kind son, brother, partner, father, uncle, and friend.

Barry’s determination and unwillingness to do anything without his full effort will forever be an inspiration to those who knew and loved him. His sense of humour, appreciation of the absurd, and his sharp wit will provide us with eternal laughter. His wisdom and generosity will always be remembered.

Barry took joy in many things in this life. Fishing, hunting, building, and all things mechanical come to mind. But his biggest joy and source of pride was getting to know his four grandchildren:  Ian, Cale, Martin, and Rose. They will miss their Grandpa Bear, as we all will, but Barry will live on through their passions and interests, especially their love of the outdoors, machines, and the glint in their eyes when they know they are being funny.

We would like to express our gratitude for the circle of love that surrounded Barry and Ruth over the last few years. Every kindness, thought, and gesture has been received and appreciated.
