Bertha Hollick

November 28, 1931 ~ April 17, 2016 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Hollick, Bertha (nee Konias)
Peacefully passed away at Cassellholme Home for the Aged on April 17, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Micheal. Loving mother of Ron, Anna Marie Morrow (Bob) and mother-in-law of Victoria Hollick. Cherished Baba of Michael, Gregory (Bridgett), Ian, Natalie, Adam, Danielle and Julia. Dear sister of Mary  (Arnold). Bertha will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents; Frank and Anna (nee Pieta), her sons; Doug and Frank Hollick and her sister; Jennie (Al). She was such a gentle soul and always put others before herself, even in her final days.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, puzzles (lots of puzzles), but mostly just enjoyed simply sitting and visiting with family and friends.  She was so proud and got the most enjoyment from hearing about her grandchildren’s lives.  Puppies and kittens were always the best medicine.  Family will receive friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 11 am- 1 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on April 30th, 2016 at 1 pm. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Arthritis Society or Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Bertha’s family would like to thank Dr. Rotondo and the Cassellholme Staff on Willow Street- 3rd floor, for their care and compassion. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com.
