It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolly Shaw at the North Bay Regional Health Centre in her 97th year.
Daughter of the late Roy and Hazel Webber. Dolly is predeceased by sisters; Pauline, Pearl, Viola and brothers; Toby and Bunny. She is survived by brothers; Joe and Gordon. She had six children- Terry, Harry (Lee), Trudy, Cindy Mariano (Steve), Pat (Wendy) and Michael. Dolly was the cherished grandmother of ten and great grandmother of eleven.
Dolly raised her children in Noranda, Quebec, and then moved to North Bay with her beloved husband, Merlin (Mel) retired.
She had a long and full life. She loved gardening; even being nominated in the “Communities in Bloom” contest. Dolly loved to cook, her butter tarts were famous. She is remembered as the candy apple lady at Halloween. She made over 100 every year. She was a serious bridge player; she curled and golfed into her later life. She was an avid Blue Jays fan. Dolly’s religion was very important to her. She belonged to the Legion of Mary and the CWL. She loved the Virgin Mary.

Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 2 -4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
