Passed away peacefully after a courageous journey with cancer, at the North Bay Regional Health Center on August 11, 2016, a few days after his 63rd birthday. Dearly loved husband of Connie (nee Mansell). Loving father of Lisa Jones (Lucas) and Sara Kowal (Michael). Gramps was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives and as promised will hold a special place in their hearts. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his grandchildren; Sam and Mia Jones and Cayden, Carter, Isabella and Katelyn Kowal, Rebecca, Robin and Ryan Hamilton. Cherished son of Romeo and Annette Marcil. Gaetan will be sadly missed by Michael and Bonnie Hamilton. Dear brother of Estelle Coleman (Larry). He will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Gaetan was born on August 8, 1953 in Cornwall, Ontario. He was a North Bay Fire Fighter for many years, as well as a volunteer firefighter with Callander and Bonfield. He was a Knight of Columbus with Paroisse Ste. Bernadette and he was very active in the Bible Studies at St. Alphonsus Church (Callander). Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday August 22, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alphonsus Church on August 23, 2016 at 11am. In respecting with the family’s wishes, please do not send flowers. Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be preferred and gratefully appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the physicians and nurses at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for all their support and compassionate care shown to the family and Gaetan.
