It is with broken hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Gary deHaas on July 5, 2017 at his home, at the age of 71 years. Sadly missed by his daughters; Jody deHaas (Dan Lebel), Vicki deHaas and their mother Cecile. Grandpa will be sadly missed and always remembered by his grandsons; Dean and Jacob. Gary will be sadly missed by his many friends at the Callander Legion, his sister Suzanne Moore and his niece Joyce Moore. Predeceased by his parents; Loowies and Janet (nee Slumskie) and by his brother Jack deHaas. Gary served with the Canadian Air Force from 1963 to 1987. Keeping with his family’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Callander Legion Branch 445 (345 Landsdowne St., Callander) on Thursday July 13, 2017. Family will be receiving visitors starting at 10 am until time of service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to a Charity of Choice would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
