Ida Maria (Marini) Mancini

MANCINI, Ida (Marini) – May 22, 1932 – October 15, 2016.

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Mancini. Loving mother of Anna Winters, Gino, and Nick Mancini (Holly). Ida is the cherished nonna of Christina, Alisha (John), Brittany, Rachele, Victoria and Jakob, and ‘Big Nonna’ great grandmother to Ava and Colton. Survived by her sisters Gina Silveri (Antonio-deceased), and Carmella DiCesare (Dino), and brother Antonio (Michellina). Predeceased by her parents Anna (Celli) and Nicola Marini, her brother Pascual Marini (Marta), and sister Ada Giampoalo (Aldo). Ida had an unwavering love for her family which extended to many nieces and nephews. She shared her passion for cooking to all that entered her home. Her life and home was always filled with love, laughter and warm meals, always welcoming to those that came through her doors.

The family would like to thank the B3 nursing staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their kindness and care. The family also wants to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kolb for her compassionate, kind-hearted and empathetic care for Ida.   

The family will be receiving family and friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday October 18, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ida to the Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Society or the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
