Carr, James Arthur
Jim has been reunited with his mother, Dorotheasa (nee Scott), father Beattie, and sister Heather in Heaven. He leaves behind his devoted wife of Lorraine for 26 years, daughter Nicole, granddaughter Destiny, and mother-in-law Hilda. He is remembered by his sisters Alice, Ruth, Diane, and Carol. He is survived by his sister-in-law’s; Linda, Gloria, Yvette, brother-in-law’s; Ronald, Armand, Paul, Norman, and predeceased by Hubert. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 24 years in 1989, and then worked 15 years with Bell Mobility until he retired in 2007. Family, his homestead in Bonfield, hunting, and fishing were his greatest loves. Jim was a problem-solver extraordinaire, and never hesitated to use his skills to help anyone. Jim`s goal in life was to die a wise old man, and to the end he was an avid life-long learner. A loyal friend, confidant, and compassionate man, he saw the good in everyone. He enjoyed a good debate. His humour was unparalleled. The family wishes to thank his wife Lorraine for her loving care, Dr. Engles, and the doctors and nurses at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Funeral services have been entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home. Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (591 Cassells St. North Bay) on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Spring interment in Corbeil. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
