Thacker, Janet ‘Jinny’ (nee Scott)

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Jinny on December 10, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Jinny was cherished by her long-time companion Claude Tetreault. Dearly loved sister of Jacqueline Ryan of Sudbury, devoted aunt of Kerry Mueller (Achim), Kathryn Dreisinger (David) and Patricia Tolppanen (Eric) and beloved cousin of Anne McIntyre. Predeceased by her son, Christopher and her parents; Norman and Laura Scott (nee Purvis) and her feline companion Tigger. Jinny's kind and gentle nature was demonstrated through her faithful service to others at the  Casellholme retirement home where she worked for many years. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (591 Cassells Street, North Bay. ON  P1B 3Z8) on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 4pm until the time of memorial service at 6 pm in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel. Light refreshments will be served.   A spring internment will take place at Terrace Lawn Cemetery beside her beloved son, Christopher. Box 3110 North Bay, ON, P1B 8H1) who administer the fund.  Please note on your cheque that it is a donation to the Chris Thacker fund.   Donations may also be dropped off at the McGuinty Funeral Home. Tax deductible receipts will be issued for donations over $20.00
