Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished.   It is with profound sadness and grief that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our Mother, Jo-Ann Ferris (Holding) on Monday August 29th 2017.  Jo-Ann was 52 years old.  Jo-Ann is survived by her children, Drew and Julie-Ann, the two brightest lights of her life.  Jo-Ann was predeceased in 2010 by her beloved husband, Andrew.  They are together again.  Survived by her dear parents, Ann and Paul Holding of North Bay and lovingly remembered by family in Canada and the USA.  Jo-Ann was a valued co-worker at the Ministry of Corrections.  Jo-Ann’s friends, too numerous to mention, are grieving the loss of her light, fun-loving spirit and zest for life, laughter and sense of adventure.  Arrangements entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home.  “Jo, for the rest of our lives we will search and remember moments full of you”. The family will receive visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday September 5th 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jo-Ann will be conducted on Wednesday September 6th 2017 at 11am in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Gathering Place or the Warming Centre are suggested and would be gratefully acknowledged by Jo-Ann’s family.
