Passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 80 years old. She is survived by her sister Madeline Mary Desilets. Her parents Liberato and Ascenza DiBartolomeo were blessed with seven daughters and two sons namely Lucy, Pam, Enzie, Sam, Margaret, Mary, Jim, Madeline and Joan. Joan worked at Ontario Hydro for her entire working career and taught typing for several years at North Bay Collegiate. Joan lived in North Bay and attended St. Rita’s Church and was a Catholic Woman’s League member. She loved to play cards, BINGO, knit and bake special Italian cookies which she shared with relatives and friends. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Her family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday August 10, 2015 from 1pm until the time of service at 3pm in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel.
