November 29, 1981 - April 12, 2018

Jonathan was surrounded by family when he passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing Hospice in Sturgeon Falls, on April 12, 2018 at the age of 36. He is survived by his parents, John and Marita, his brother Jacob (Mallorie), and his nieces and nephews Carter, Sophie, Nora and Silas.  Jonathan will be sadly missed by his grandparents, Viola Bailey (George predeceased), Laura and Rheal Danis, and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jonathan attended Northern Secondary School, Sheridan and Algonquin Colleges in the Arts, Animation and Multi Media.  He was a talented design consultant & project manager, animator, web designer and artist.  Jonathan's passions included The Arts (such as drawing, animation, architecture, music, photography, and animation collectibles). He left a lasting impression on those he met and has many loyal friends who will love and miss him forever. We thank all of his family members and friends who loved and supported him during his courageous battle against two cancers: Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix, and a very rare type of cancer: Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP). We also thank the team of surgeons at St. Micheal's Hospital in Toronto and Dr. Cano and staff at the North East Cancer Centre in Sudbury. We also thank Dr. Morrison and Dr. Labelle, and all staff at West Nipissing General Hospital as well as C.C.A.C. staff and ParaMed nurses for the exceptional care Jonathan received.  Jonathan's cremation by McGuinty's Funeral Home of North Bay will be followed by “A Celebration of Life” on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 1 to 4 pm, at the Elks Lodge, 325 Elks Lane, (off Trout Lake Road) North Bay.  Donations to The West Nipissing Hospital Foundation, PMP cancer research or your favourite charity in Jonathan's memory will be greatly appreciated by the family.
