Laurent “Larry”, passed away peacefully at 81 years young, in North Bay, Friday, December 2, 2016, surrounded by his girls. He has gone to his heavenly home, where he will once again be reunited with his beloved Rose and his daughter Lise. He will be so dearly missed by his son, Rheal Dumais of Thunder Bay, and his girls Carole Baxter (Larry) of Sudbury, Diane Dumais (Robin) of Toronto, Monique Dumais Chrisope (Paul) of California and Anne Dumais (Shawn) of Toronto. He was their hero. He is also lovingly remembered by grandchildren Yvon (Jennifer), Daniel (Meghan), Paul, Alain, Tina (Jay), Pauline (Steve), Timothy, Jeremy and Adam, Eleanor, Charlotte, Alex and Rhory, his great-grandchildren will miss his tickles and hugs.  He will hold a special place in the heart of his cherished dancing partner and loving companion Cecile Mantha. He carried with him the love of his sisters Grace Dupuis, and Pauline Julien and his brothers, Lucien Dumais and Alex Dupuis, and his in-laws, Jeanne Gaudreault, Rose-Alma Gaudreault, Irene and Aime Gaudreault.  Predeceased by his wife Rose and daughter Lise, son-in-law Kevin Mastalerz, Mother and Father, Gideon and Elzire Dumais, sisters Marianna Beauchamp, Lucille Beauchamp, and Helen Ranger and brothers Patrick Dupuis. He will be so dearly missed by many extended family and friends, whom he shared his laughter and love without reserve. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Family will be receiving friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 6-9pm and Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 9-10:30am. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church, (299 Airport Road) on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 11am. Cremation will follow with inurnment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hope Awaits Ministries (a men's shelter) or your local food bank will be appreciated by the family.
