Lalande, Laurine (nee Gallagher)

The family of Laurine Lalande (Gallagher) are saddened to announce her passing on the morning of February 14, 2018 with her husband of 58 years, Roland, beside her. She is survived by her devoted children Peggy Stubbert (Mike) and Jamie (Kathryn); loving grandchildren Mallory Gore (Clint), Stephanie Brouse (Jordy), Evan Stubbert (Anne), Thomas, Victoria, and Kaitlyn; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren Shea & Lexi Gore and Weston Brouse. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike (Donna), Tom (pre-deceased), Denis (Jackie), and Frank (Suzanne); her sisters, Mary Lou Kunkle (Ralph pre-deceased) and Dianne Wilson (Tom); and too many nieces and nephews to name. Laurine retired from the MTO in 1987, after which she and Roland spent 29 years wintering in Florida and meeting a wonderful group of friends. Whether golfing at Pinewood, flea marketing in Clearwater, spending Thursday afternoons with her coffee pals, or bussing to Casino Rama, she lived a great and fulfilling life. A special thank you to Heather McGuinty with CCAC, Care Partners, and VON for their incredible support and care. She loved her family and we loved her back. Viewing will take place at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday, February 19th between 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm  and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 10:00 am at the Pro-Cathedral. Donations will be accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society or  the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
