FIOR, Onorina Elide (nee Torresin)

Peacefully in her sleep on December 9th, 2018 at Cassellholme for the aged at the age of 92 years. Onorina was the beloved wife of the late Ernesto Fior. Loving mother to Gina Drew (John) of St. Catharines and Joseph Fior (Maureen) of North Bay. Proud grandmother to Sean Drew (Lauren), Catherine MacDonald (Jesse), Meghann Fior (David), Michael Fior and her great grand daughter Emilia. Onorina was born in San Marco Resana Italy and is predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Marianna (nee Lucato) Torresin. She made her life raising her family and was well known for her cooking skills by all the many friends that were blessed to eat at her table. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all the Nurses and Staff of Apple Street for their care and compassion at Cassellholme. In keeping with Onorina’s wishes the family will gather for a private funeral. Cremation will follow at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery along side her husband Ernesto. If desired donations to the Diabetes Canada would be gratefully acknowledged.
