It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother, Reginald Bessette on October 16, 2016 in his 74th year at Health Sciences North (Sudbury). Dear brother of Claudette Kitchen (Bruce) and Gaetan Bessette. Loving uncle of 20 nieces and nephews and by several great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends both here and in Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents; Paul and Blanche Bessette and by his siblings; Prescille, Rene (Noella), Victor (Monica), Rolland (Laura), Lise (Richard), Yvon and Carole. Reg was born in Sudbury and was raised on the family hobby farm in Chisholm. He was a professional painter by trade and spent most of his life working in Halifax. He recently returned home to North Bay to enjoy retirement, close to his family. Reg loved nature, the ocean, hunting, fishing and out door activities. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Saturday October 22, 2016 from 11 am till time of service at 12 noon in the chapel. Interment at Chiswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
