Passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2015, lifetime resident of North Bay at the age of 91 years. He was the loving husband of the late Marlene (Mauro). Cherished father of Marty (Lori), Randall (Barbara), and Nancy (John). Loving grandfather of Mathieu and Joel Bowers and Erika and Rochelle Mathieu. Chérie and companion of Thérèse Marcotte Gagnon. Dear brother of Eugenie Rowntree and sister-in-law Alice Mathieu. Predeceased by his parents Elie and Albertine (Desilets) and siblings Daniel, Joseph, Marguerite Tessier, Blanche Adams. Former owner of Mathieu’s Patent Medicines and employee of Canadore College. Proud Veteran of WWII and devoted Habs Fan. He will be missed by all including his 3 o’clock coffee gang and Sunday morning breakfast club. Family will be receiving friends at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on March 6, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Holy Name of Jesus on March 7, 2015 at 10:30 am.
