Roy, Rita Marie (nee Chaput)

Rita Marie Roy (nee Chaput) passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on May 2, 2018 at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her husband Joseph L. Roy. Loving mother of John ‘Jean-Louis’ Roy (Vivian) of Astorville, Paulette Point (Rudy) of North Bay and Jacqueline Toner (John) of North Bay. Cherished grandma of  Tim Point, Greg Point, Michelynn Roy, Scott Toner, Brad Toner and Jeff Toner and  great grandma of Austin, Taylor, Spencer, Abigail, Madison, Emma, Carter, Haylee, Dahlia, Ayla and Neve. Dear sister of Henri Chaput (Pierrette) of Mission, BC. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her infant son Ludger Roy, grandson Corey Roy, her parents; Edouard and Elodina Lafontaine and her siblings; Conrad Chaput, Wilfred Chaput, Maurice Chaput, Raymond Chaput, Charles ‘Charlie’ Chaput , Fanny Chaput, Gertrude Gascon and Lina Stevens. Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday May 7, 2018 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Paroisse St. Vincent-de-Paul on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully appreciated by her family.
