COOK, Robert Walter

Robert passed away with his family at his side On December 23, 2017 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 81 years. Beloved spouse and best friend to Hilda Vaincourt. Loving father to Rodney Cook (Colleen), Robert Cook. Laurie Fear (Dave) and Louise MacKay (Larry).  Robert was also a step father to 8 children. Robert was predeceased by his parents Morley Cook and Mae (nee Ivison), his brother George (Alberta), and his sisters Frances Bruce (Jim), Yvonne Chambers (Ross-surviving), Blanche McPhail (Bill), and Karen Segriff (Lyle). He is survived by his sisters Lorraine Padgett (Ken-deceased), Linda Lemon (Peter), and Elizabeth Bruce (Eldon –deceased) and his brothers Ronald Cook (Joan-deceased) and Kalvin Cook (Marie). Robert will always be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday December 29, 2017 from 1pm to 5pm. Cremation will follow at the Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Saunders, Dr. Shulman, Doctor Giordana, and all the nurses and staff of the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s Renal Unit for their care and compassion.
