Romuald passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Au Chateau Nursing Home in Sturgeon Falls on March 4, 2018 at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Fernande (nee Poirier), and is survived by his sons Jean Pierre Gaudet (Marielle) and Serge Gaudet (Gisèle). Loving and proud grandfather to Eric (Barbara), and Andre Michel and great grandfather to Mathieu and Renée. Romuald was predeceased by his father Armand Gaudet, his brother Fernand (Alice), and is survived by his brother Donald (Claire). In keeping with Romuald’s wishes cremation has occurred with no public visitation or service. The family wishes to express their heart felt gratitude to the Nurses and Staff of Au Chateau for their exceptional care and compassion they have shown over the years. La famille Gaudet a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de Romuald Gaudet décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille le 4 mars 2018 à l’âge de 90 ans. Prédécédé par sa femme bien-aimée Fernande (née Poirier) il laisse dans le deuil ses fils Jean Pierre Gaudet (Marielle) et Serge Gaudet (Gisèle), ses petits enfants  Eric (Barbara),  André Michel, ses arrière-petits-enfants Mathieu et Renée ainsi que son frère Donald (Claire). Romuald fut aussi  prédécédé par son père Armand Gaudet et son frère Fernand (Alice). Conformément à la volonté de Romuald, la crémation a eu lieu sans aucune visite ou service publique.
