Vernon Frederick Gordon Holtz

HOLTZ, Vernon Frederick Gordon

Born on April 23, 1957 and passed away at NBRHC in Birch Lodge on May 27, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Teresa Holtz of Tilden Lake. He was the loved brother of Helen Mallette (John) of Tilden Lake, Irene Stephen (Ron-deceased) of North Bay, Linda Brooks (Gary) of Almonte, Jane Lalonde (Marcel) of North Bay, Carl (Dorothy) of North Bay, Darlene Vaughan (Ron) of Corbeil, Sharon Groulx (Pat) of Kanata, and Robert (Kathy) of Huntsville. He was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews. After leaving Tilden Lake and moving to North Bay he worked at Country Heritage for 10 years. He later attended the Adult Day Program at Cassellholme for a few years and then attended the PADDLE program for a couple of years. Since August of 2015, Vern resided in Birch Lodge. Funeral arrangements are private with an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. If desired donations to the PADDLE Program, the Alzheimer’s Society, the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or to the Down Syndrome Association would be gratefully acknowledged.
