Andrew Breckon Obituary

Passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday September 30, 2022 at the age of 57 years after a lengthy battle with addiction. Andrew never gave up the fight. He wanted to better himself and tried over and over again to defeat the disease. His strength and courage was remarkable but, in the end, addiction won. For those who know, you know. The disease of addiction is merciless; relentless; brutal; and manipulative. It is in no way a reflection on one's character to be afflicted by addiction.

Andrew loved and understood people. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He saw the good because he looked for the good. Andrew was smart and comical. He would say that making people smile was what it was all about. He loved being in nature, fishing, and tinkering with anything broken; always pleased when he could make it like new again.

Andrew is predeceased by his brother Robert (1990), his father Ronald (2008), and his mother Ketha (2014). He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Margaret and Jennifer, and by his beloved daughter Tessa. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most of all, Andrew will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his partner and best friend Kelli Holmes. In his own words, she was his world. As per Andrew’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will not be a service. May he finally rest in peace. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
