On March 16, 2020, Armand Vaillancourt, at the age of 84, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family.  Armand will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Helen (née Bourgeois), and his children Claude (Lise), Ann (Jeffrey), Louise and Gisèle (Richard).  He will also be fondly missed by his grandchildren Serge (Katherine), Chantal (Mathias), Melissa (Jason), Nicholas (Jerrica), Karianne (Caitlin) and Robin (Kasandra); and four great-grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Nolan and Naomi.  Armand will be forever remembered by his brother, sisters, extended family, and friends. Armand was predeceased by his parents, Laurent and Edna (née Venasse), brother, Maurice, and sister, Diane.

The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home in North Bay on Friday, March 20th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.   A private mass will be held on Saturday, March 21st at the Sacred Heart Church in Corbeil. Interment will take place at a later date at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Corbeil.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Near North Palliative Care Network or Alzheimer Society of North Bay & District would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Near North Palliative Care team, the personal support workers and nurses from Paramed Home Health Care Services, the Cassellholme Community Support Services, and physician Dr.  Melanie O’Grady for their wonderful care and compassion throughout the many years. Special thanks to Braden Duplessis and all of the care givers.
