PERRAULT, CAROLINE (Caï) (née Marceau)

Resident of Redbridge, formerly of Temiscaming.

Caï passed away surrounded by the love of her family on September 25, 2022, at the age of 89.

She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Victor Perrault.

Survived by her children, Lyse Fisher, Redbridge, Janet Perrault (Fern Latour deceased) North Bay, Michael Perrault, Temiscaming, Nancy Fisher (Allan) Redbridge.  Sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren Ashley Fisher, Dawne McCulloch (Ryan), Amanda Smith (Ryan), Lauren Fisher, Samantha (Caï) Perrault, Leah Perks, 2 step-granddaughters Carrie Aultman (Jamie), Stephanie Schiavo (Jason) and 14 great-grandchildren Kole, Austyn, Quynn, Noah, Evan, Emma, Jacob, Curtis, Breanna, MacKenna, Giovanni, Adelaynna, Harper and Sawyer.

Caï called Temiscaming home for more than 50 years and recently moved to Redbridge to be closer to her family during her illness. She was a teacher for 42 years, an active member of Legion Branch 18 in Temiscaming for 25 years as secretary, numerous volunteer positions and was named Volunteer of the Year in 2012, board member of the community newspaper Le Contact for 10 years, good friend of the handicapped organization in Temiscaming, avid crocheter and knitter and enjoyed all types of arts and crafts.  Best known for her afghans and as Mrs P. to her many students.

Special thanks to son-in-law Allan Fisher for his continuous care during her illness and Randy Newstead for all the lovely flowers.  

Many thanks to the PSW’s (especially Jessie & Bonnie), and the staff at Cassellholme and North Bay Regional Health Centre.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Cancer Daffodil Lodge in Sudbury.

As per Caï's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 11:00 am at Ste-Theresa Parish Church in Temiscaming, Québec. Interment to follow in Temiscaming. Online condolences can be made at: www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
