Howard Kevin Hamilton

With broken hearts, our family announces the passing of our brother Howard on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, after a long battle with a chronic illness at the age of 67 years.  Beloved son of the late Agnes Margaret Frost and the late Homer Evan Hamilton. Predeceased by his brothers, Homer Jr., John, and Jerry.  Howard will be sadly missed by his siblings; Doreen Paquette, Isabel Stone, Robert (Bob) Hamilton, Kathleen Chretien, Jane Munroe, Ruth Fraser (Tom Stone), Pauline Russell (Tod), Judy Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton (Lorraine) and Marianne Hamilton (Denis Deslaunais). Howard will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. His kind heart and infectious smile will be remembered by all.

Howard had a long career as a carman and relief supervisor with the Canadian Pacific Railway beginning in North Bay, Schreiber and Toronto.  Enjoying all outdoor sports and hunting his true passion was fishing, and winter ice fishing.  He loved the outdoors, snowmobiling, camping, barbecuing for everyone and especially loved riding his motorcycles.

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm with an Anglican service at 1pm.  Interment will take place in the spring at the Callander Union Cemetery.

A very special thank you to Dr. James Truong for his long- time commitment, compassion and support provided by himself and the medical team at Callander Lakeside Medical Clinic. Dr. Stephane Gauthier and Dr. Inez Jinnah made a positive impact on Howard’s tireless journey. Special thanks to the North East LHIN and  Paramed with a special thank you to Marci and Rita.
