Jeanne Louise (Deschenes) Jerome

Peacefully passed away at Eastholme-Home for the Aged (Powassan) on August 11, 2022, in her 92nd year.  Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Terry Jerome and the loving Mother to James Jerome (Karen) and Rob Jerome (Jo-Anne).  She was the cherished grandmother to 3 grandchildren: Emilie, Shannon, and Colin.  Born in Riviere-du-Loup Quebec, Jeanne was a caring and hard-working Registered Nurse for over 40 years, mainly in Hospitals in Montreal, North Bay, and Elliot Lake.  She was a huge sports fan, and family sports cheerleader and supporter.  She loved to cook and feed people and enjoyed many sports and craft hobbies, including knitting and crocheting, skiing, skating, curling, and swimming.  Jeanne is known for being a tireless caregiver, healthcare worker volunteer, and support for those in need.  She was very independent and a wonderful friend to many.  As per Jeanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will occur at a later date.
