Josephine 'Jo' (Carcasole) Falconi

FALCONI, Josephine “Jo” (nee Carcasole) –

Passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020 at Casselholme in her 91st year.  Josephine is survived by her loving children, Deborah Kennelly (Dennis), Beverly Falconi (Jules Duchesne) and Anthony Falconi (Heather Cameron) .  “Gramma” will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Caroline Donnelly, Jaime Gauthier, Michel Duchesne and great grandson Grayden.  Josephine is predeceased by her husband Luigi (Louis) Falconi, her parents, Antonio Carcasole, and Rosa (nee Cappadocia), and her siblings Flavia (Faye) DeRenzi, and Caterina (Kay) Cappadocia. 

Josephine was retired from the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board where she served for many years as a school secretary, culminating her career as Desk Top Publisher for the Northern Ontario Catholic Curriculum Cooperative until the mid 1990’s.  Josephine was a most creative person--an accomplished seamstress, woodworker, gardener, decorator, and stained glass artist--with a love for all things house and home.  She had a passion for creating things of beauty and for producing scrumptious meals and delightful gatherings for family and friends.  Jo thoroughly enjoyed the elegant Candlelight dinners, the pub nights, and barbecues at CFB North Bay over many years.  She loved travel, both international and domestic, and delighted in each of the many intriguing destinations.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Prins, the staff on Maple Street, and all of the Casselholme staff for their wonderful care.  Due to the current public health concerns there will be a private family internment only.  A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.  If desired, memoriam donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The North Bay Regional Health Centre would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
