Madeleine Coté

On April 4, 2024, Madeleine Joan (Soucy) Cote of North Bay passed away at the age of 84 years at the Cassellholme.  Born in Grand Falls, NB on June 8, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Julie (Parent) Soucy. She was the former wife of the late Valdor (Bud) Cote.

She is predeceased by her sister, Jeanine Watson, and half brothers and sisters, Simone Levesque, Clovis Levesque, Léon Levesque, Alvine Levesque-Martin (late Jean), Lawrence Levesque (late Waugh), Guy Levesque (Jeanne Guay) and Edna Day.

Madeleine will lovingly be missed and remembered by her six children Guy (Donna), Michel "Mike" (Annie), Yvonne, Roger, Mary Anne (Dan), and Daniel “Danny”.  

She was a loving grandmother to her 13 grandchildren: Matthew, Jason, Ryan, Dylan, Eric, Ashley, Jill, Holly, Alicia, Robert, Olivia, Nadine and Sara and 8 great grandchildren Ben, Andrew, Riley, Lincoln, Eric, Camille, Maxine and Bridget. 

Madeleine was a kind-hearted woman. She loved people and animals. She had a passion for music and dancing. She loved to tear up the dance floor! Her favorite pass times were bingo and scratch tickets. She was always delighted, even with the smallest wins. 

Resting at McGuinty Funeral Home, 591 Cassells Street, North Bay with visitation hours on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 pm.
