Marguerite (Allard) Chercuitte

Passed away peacefully at 102 years old on November 18, 2020 at Water’s Edge Community Care with her daughter Marie by her side.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Jacques, her youngest daughter Aline and her precious grandson Matthieu Groulx.  She was also predeceased by her parents and 11 siblings.  Survived by her daughters Marie Humphreys and Rita Groulx and her son Gilles Chercuitte.  She was the cherished grandmother of Marc Groulx (Carmelle), Jesse Humphreys (Wendy), Lindsay Humphreys (Orçun), Derek Humphreys, Tyler Robicheau (Sarah), and Kale Robicheau.  She was also the great-grandmother of Ariane, Alexia, Samuel, Casey, Lexie, Remy and Maxime.  She was a long-time volunteer at St-Vincent-de-Paul church and member of Les filles d’Isabelle, cercle Marguerite Bourgeois.  She lived in her apartment until last October when she moved into Water’s Edge at 101 years old.

We would like to thank her family physician Dr Trenker, Dr. Redhead and the wonderful staff at Water’s Edge for the amazing care she received.  Due to COVID restrictions there will be no visitation or service at this time.  A memorial service will be planned at a later date for the immediate family.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home.  If desired, donations may be made by cheque to “Water’s Edge Residents’ Council” to help fund activities for the residents or to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
