The family announces the peaceful passing of Maurice on November 23, 2021 at Eastholme in Powassan, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne (nee Francoeur) Gravelle who passed away February 2021 and are now together forever. Cherished father of Lynn of North Bay, Gary of North Bay, Anna Marie (Bruce Laviolette) of Pickering, Andre of North Bay, and Laurent (Odette) of Greely. The special bond that papere had with all his grandchildren, Julie (Blair) of Kars, Natalie (Nash) of London England, Marc (Cindy) of Rockland, Karly of Kirkland Lake, Rachele (Mike) of Innisfil, Dillon (Marianne) of Bowmanville, Fairen (Riley) of Hay River NWT and Jordan (Bailey) of Burlington, as well as by his great-grandchildren Keenan, Estelle, Margoh, Madeline, Ellie, Victor, Olivier, Chloe, Hunter, Aiden, Addison, Amelia, Walter, Leo, Ivy and Violet. Maurice was predeceased by his parents Albert and Anna (nee Gauthier) Gravelle, his grandson Joey Kemp-Gravelle, his brothers Rheal (Anita-surviving), Roger, Romeo, Ernest, his sisters Evelyn, Simone, and Rose. He is survived by his sister Rejeanne Groulx (late Louis), and brother Conrad.

The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday December 1, 2021, from 9:30 am to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Wednesday December 1, 2021, at 11 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
