Theresa Meeking (nee Potvin)  July 10, 1927 - October 03, 2021

Passed away peacefully at 94 years old with her family by her side on October 03, 2021, at West Nipissing General Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Edbourne (Ted - 1970) and her precious grandson Kevin Meeking (2018). She was also predeceased by her parents Déa Potvin and Florence Desbois Potvin and her two brothers, Joseph (Pit) Potvin (late Leona) and Aurèle Potvin (late Merleen). Also predeceased by her dearest father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Lilian Meeking, brothers-in-law, Hilbert (late Connie) and Linton (late Orma), sisters-in-law Elsie (Tony Bloomfield), and Eva (late John Rose). Survived by her son Teddy Meeking (Micheline) and great grandson Dustin Rousseau (Whitney Neddo) and her great-great granddaughter Raina. She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Dorothy (Dot) Phillips, many nephews, nieces, and friends. Theresa worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. McCool in North Bay. She was a long-time volunteer and member of Daughters of Isabella and the Catholic Women’s League at Lady of Sorrows Church in Sturgeon Falls. The family would like to thank her family physician Dr. Behamdouni and the wonderful doctors and nurses for the amazing care she received at West Nipissing General Hospital. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McGuinty Funeral Home (705)472-8520. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home-Sturgeon Falls  (123 Railway Street Sturgeon Falls) on Friday October 8, 2021, from 2pm to 4pm followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 4pm. An Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North Bay will occur at a later date. Donations are suggested to a charity of your choice and would be gratefully appreciated.
