Gary Eide

Managing Funeral Director/Owner

Gary is a graduate of Canadore College where he received a three-year Business Administration Accounting/Finance diploma. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto, and is a graduate of Humber College with a diploma in Funeral Service. Gary interned with Humphrey-A.W. Miles in Toronto and as a licensed funeral director continued to work at Humphrey Funeral Home, as well as other funeral homes in the Toronto area, before returning home to build and manage Whispering Pines Funeral Home Ltd. in Powassan and Whispering Pines Chapel in Callander. In October 2012 Gary and his Brother Steven purchased the McGuinty Funeral Home in North Bay and brought the Callander Chapel under the McGuinty banner. Gary and his wife Sylvia live in North Bay with their daughter Sarah. Gary Sylvia and Sarah are parishoners at Holy Name of Jesus Church in North Bay. Christopher Jacobs

Funeral Director

A graduate of Nipissing University, Chris obtained an honours bachelor degree in Political Science and a minor in Biology.  Chris has just recently graduated from Humber College with an Honours Funeral Service Diploma, and has obtained his Ontario Licensed Funeral Directors Licence. Born and raised in North Bay, Chris is an active member in the community serving as a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Albanel Assembly and a 3rd degree knight in council 12030.  Chris is also an active parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Parish where he serves as an acolyte. Chris is a Certified Crematorium Operator having recently obtained his certification under the OACFP Association.

Nadine Longpre

Bilingual Funeral Director

Nadine Longpre is a Funeral Director who recently obtained her Ontario Funeral Director's License at Collège Boréal. Born and raised  in North Bay, Nadine has been involved in her community through figure skating, coaching and volunteering throughout her childhood. She is a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church in North Bay and is proud to serve the community through her work at McGuinty Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Funeral Home

Sylvia Eide

Funeral Directors Assistant/Crematorium Operator

Sylvia is a graduate of Canadore College with a three year Business Diploma in Business Accounting / Finance. She spent many years as a front desk guest service agent at the Best Western Hotel in North Bay. In 2012 Sylvia joined her husband Gary and the team at McGuinty Funeral Home / Whispering Pines Funeral Home as a Funeral Directors Assistant. Sylvia along with her husband Gary and daughter Sarah are parishioners at Holy Name of Jesus Church in North Bay.

Sylvia is a certified Crematorium Operator under the Ontario Association of Cemetery and Funeral Professionals (OACFP) and she operates the crematorium at Whispering Pines Funeral Home

Sarah Eide

Funeral Directors Assistant

Sarah is a graduate of St.Josephs Scollard Hall. She has an Honours Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience and Biology) with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. Sarah is currently working on her Masters in the Physiology Department at the University of Toronto. She is  the daughter of Gary and Sylvia Eide. When Sarah is not attending University she is employed with McGuinty Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Funeral Home as a reception and visitation staff. Sarah enjoys the audio visual preparation for funeral tributes.Sarah along with her parents is a parishioner at Holy Name of Jesus Church in North Bay.
