WATSON, Barry Alfred

Passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 29, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Barry was the very beloved husband of 52 years to Willow Joy (nee Dixon-Smith), and the loving father to Kimberley Watson (Marcel), Tracey Lounds (Robert) and Kristopher Watson (Leanne). Proud and loving “Pops” to his pride and joy grandchildren Dustin, Michael, Chelsey, Hunter, Cooper, Thomas, Christopher, Mackenzy and Makayla. Barry is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Phyllis (nee Wills) Watson and is survived by his sister Carole Gibson (Russ). He will always be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Barry was born and raised in Toronto, and with his wife Willow moved to Callander in 1972 where they decided to raise their family. Barry was a past volunteer fire fighter with the Callander Fire Department. He will always be remembered for his strong silent demeanor, his loving and gentle personality, and his great sense of humor. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home in Callander  (87 Lansdowne Street) on Thursday February 1, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm. A memorial service for Barry Watson at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s  Witnesses (1120 Premier Road North Bay Ontario) on Friday February 2, 2018 at 2pm.
