McCauley, Clayton Alvin
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Clayton McCauley on October 27, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by his wife Rita McCauley (nee Collette). Loving father of Claude Grandmond, Theresa Depape (Ron), Lina McCauley, Brenda Topps (Steve). Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Dear sister of Audrey Luck (Al-deceased), Barbara McDerby, Diane Weiss and Karen Peters (Carl-predeceased). He will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sons Noel, Albert (Shirley-surviving), Michael, his parents; Edward and Irene McCauley (nee Schilke) and by his sister Marion McNeil (Bernie). Clayton was an auto mechanic for 50 years in North Bay Area, he worked at R & S Auto for many years. When Clayton wasn’t fixing vehicles, he enjoyed playing cards, camping, ice fishing and in his younger years, an ice-cold beer. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. An informal gathering will take place on November 8, 2019 at the Elk’s Lodge from 4 -10 pm. Clayton’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Kistemaker, the Nursing Staff of C3 at the NBRHC, the Northeast LIHN care partners and his PSW for their care and compassion given to Clayton over the last few months.
