After a lengthy and courageous battle including two double lung transplants, Den passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital on November 19, 2013 at the age of 43 years. Dearly loved son of Maurice and Shirley (nee Tunney). Dear brother and best friend of Steve. Dennis was the loving and cherished uncle of Carter and Gabriella. Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and his many devoted friends. Predeceased by his sister Ronda. Dennis had a passion for life and he lived it till the end, always making people laugh and smile. He was compassionate, trustworthy and always the joker, even as he fought every day of his life to take the next breath. Dennis was the true ultimate fighter. He never gave up... ever. He will never be forgotten. Family will be receiving friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home on December 14, 2013 at 10 am till time of service in the chapel at 11 am. Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or The Toronto General Hospital Peter Munk Transplant Unit would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
