Hamilton, Edith Barbara (nee Jackson)

Peacefully passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by the love of her family on July 29, 2017 at the age of 74 years.  Beloved wife to Robert “Bob” Hamilton.  Loving mother to Shawn Hamilton (Tanya), Christine Hamilton, and Dana Fragomeni (Todd). Beloved grandmother to Tara, Andrew, Thomas, Allie, Jordan, Jessa, Jake, Max and Zach .  Cherished great grandmother to Johnny, Clara, Trenton, Ember, Aria and Donavan. Predeceased by her parents James Jackson and Dorothy Valiquette, and her grand daughter Trista-Lynn.  Edith will be sadly missed by her siblings, Jim Jackson (Cathy), Lorna Jackson, Lois Dool (Ted-predeceased), Arlene Turcotte, and Kathy Bryden (her favorite scrabble partner).  Family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday August 2, 2017 from 10am to 2pm at the McGuinty Funeral Home in Callander (87 Lansdowne Street) followed by a funeral service in the Chapel at 2pm. Interment will follow at Callander Union Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and Dr. Yates for their care and compassion.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St Peters Anglican Church would be greatly appreciated.
