It is with sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Mae Vaillancourt at Cassellholme Home for the Aged on February 12, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Robert Vaillancourt. Loving mother of Cindy, Robert John (Carmen), Don, Derreck (Kelly), Lyn and Tim (Natalie). Mae’s grandchildren had little opportunity to spend time with her because they all lived so far away however, they were all aware of their grandmother and she of them.  Dear sister of Thomas ‘Bud’ Chester (Vi), Katherine ‘Kitty/Kay’ Costante (Clint Walford), Florence ‘Flo’ Newell, Richard ‘Rick’ Chester (Grace) and Robert ‘Bob’ Chester (Dorothy). Mae will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her son, Andy Vaillancourt (Heather), her parents, Thomas and Bertha Chester (nee Scott), brother, Reginald ‘Andy’ Chester and her sister Margaret ‘Peggy' Chester. Mae’s family would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr. Prins and the staff at Cassellholme for their care and compassion given to Mae and our family. It took Mae many years to feel at home where she could truly be herself.  She was loved by so many and treated so well. She was able to find this at Casselholme. The family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday February 15, 2018 from 9 am until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 11 am. A luncheon will be served after the service.  Interment will take place at Forest Lawn on Tower Drive.   In lieu of flowers, donations to Cassellholme would be gratefully appreciated by her family.
