COUSINEAU, Francis Leo

Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on December 1, 2017 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 93 years. Francis is survived by his beloved wife Muriel Cousineau (neé Gervais). Loving father to Marc Cousineau of Mississauga, Michael Cousineau (Mary) of Burlington and Susan Cousineau (Denis) of North Bay. Francis will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthieu, Joseph, Phillipe, Colette, Marc, and Marie, and by his great grandchildren Eleanor and Isabel. Predeceased by his parents Joseph Cousineau and Marie Delia (neé Gelineau), his brothers Fidelis, Joseph, Raymond and his sisters Marion, Lucille, Alice and Shirley. Francis was born in Arnprior Ontario but was raised in Brulé Lake in Algonquin Park. He served with the Glengarry Regiment in WWII in Holland and Germany. He worked for Ontario Hydro for 33 years in Forestry retiring in the Northeastern Region. He enjoyed cross country skiing, fishing and was an expert in the canoe. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday December 5, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at 10:30 am.
