Passed away peacefully at Casselholme on October 5, 2018 at the age of 98 years.  Gabrielle was the beloved wife of the late Olaf Straus (1988). She was predeceased by her cherished daughter Denise (2002) and her three sisters Marguerite McElroy, Hélène Poulin and Françoise Smith. She is survived by her three children Philip (Leslee), Sylvia and Bernard (Sherry). She was a loving grandmother to Mitchell (Christine), Alanna (Tai) and Landon and great grandmother to Sebastian. She had a warm and loving relationship with her family and close friends. Gabrielle loved summers at the cottage with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a good hand of bridge. She worked for several years at the former St. Josephs hospital in the gift shop. She was a member of the St. Peters C.W.L. The family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday October 10, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm and Thursday October 11,, 2018 from 10 am until time of service at 11am in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel.
