It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Giuseppe Caliciuri at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on April 12, 2018 surrounded by his family at the age of 84 years. Loving husband of Maria (nee Scarfone). Loving father to Nancy Caliciuri, Josie Desrosiers (Bob), and Rocco Caliciuri. Proud grandfather of Christina, Michael, Marina (Jason), Nadia (Riley), Nathan, Sabina (John) and Mel (Brandi). Great grandfather to Alora.  Giuseppe was predeceased by his son Vincenzo, his parents Vincenzo and Maria (nee Scarfone) Caliciuri, and his siblings Carmosina Scarfone (Giuseppe –deceased), Vincenzo Caliciuri (Maria –surviving), and Antonio Caliciuri (Romana –surviving). Giuseppe will also be forever loved by his in-laws Santo Scarfone (Anna), Nicola Scarfone (Rosa), his nieces, nephews, many cousins and his many friends. Giuseppe was born in Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, Reggio Calabria Italy. It is there that he married Maria and they had their family. Giuseppe immigrated to Canada in 1964, and in 1968 his family joined him in Canada. Giuseppe loved working with his hands and spent a career in the construction industry, he loved his garden, his wine making, but nothing compared to his love for his grandchildren, and great grandchild. Family will be receiving visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday April 16, 2018 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Tuesday April 17 2018 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gordon Mah, Dr. Harman, and the Nurses and Staff of the CCU and C3 of the North Bay Regional Health Centre for their outstanding care and compassion.
