Grégoire 'Greg' Robert

ROBERT, Grégoire (Greg) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at North Bay Regional Health Centre on November 13th 2017. Enthusiastically, Greg embraced life for 57 years, and leaves behind a legacy of love, humour and “joie de vivre”.  For 36 years, Greg was and will remain the true love and best friend of his wife, Roxanne (née Martin).  He was also the loving father of Jacques (Mélanie) of Ottawa, Martin (Sophie) also of Ottawa, Roch (Lindsey), Alain (Michelle) and Renée (Brian) Bourque. His ten grand-children: Seth, Gavin, Sam, Zoé, Izzy, Khloe, Riley, Brielle, Éva and Jax, will miss his sweet treats and his innumerable cuddles.  He will be sadly missed by his siblings: Michelle, Lynne, Guy (Julie), Yvonne (John) Campaner, Yvon, Roxanne and Julie (Whitney) Gardiner, his mother in-law Jacqueline and brothers and sisters in-law: Madeleine (Robert) Mantha, Émilie (Daniel) Johnson, Ghislaine (Doug) Taylor, Marc, Paul (Jane), and Pierre (Tracy). He will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and very close friends Debbie and Mariline. Predeceased by his parents: Guy and Marlene (née Gauthier), his father-in-law Omer Martin, brothers-in-law Luc (Claudette-surviving) and André (Cheryl-surviving).

As an award-winning landscaper of Robert Landscaping 1988 Ltd, he improved many properties in North Bay and surrounding areas with innovative designs and creativity.

The family wishes to thank Ghislaine, his personal nurse, Nikki Robarts – VON, Sara, Linda and staff of C3 for their compassionate care and finally a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Terry Rotondo for his outstanding attention to detail, devotion and friendship.

Family will be receiving friends at McGuinty Funeral Home on Thursday November 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 17th, 2017 at 11 am.

As expressions of sympathy donations to Red Cross or Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
