Cianfarani (nee Gray), Irene Mhairi (1955-2019)

Died suddenly, June 2 in her home in North Bay. Predeceased by her father, Alastair Gray and her mother, Anna Gray and her husband Peter Cianfarani. Will be profoundly missed by her dear brother Alastair and her sons Anthony (Krista), Chris (Jessica), Paul and Nick. Proud Grandma of Kinsley and Caidy. Missed by sisters-in-law Antonia D’Ambrosia and Palma Vella, plus nieces and nephews. She leaves behind dear cousins and friends in Scotland.

We have lost one of most precious individuals. Irene taught in Scotland, Prince George B.C. as a volunteer with Bishop O’Grady, Burns Lake, Schomberg, Ontario, F.J McElligot and for many years at St. Joseph-Scollard hall. She was a wonderful, life-giving presence as Head of English and Special Ed. Irene served on the executive of Nipissing Secondary OECTA. She was very involved with S.J.S.H. Bear Stage. Irene blessed the lives of countless students while mentoring and inspiring many colleagues with her sensitivity, compassion and intelligence. Actively engaged in the community, Irene was a volunteer in many circles including the Family Enrichment Program and Heritage Gardeners. Her friends are already missing her deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations graciously accepted in her honour by Near North Palliative Care. A gathering in her honour will take place at 4 pm on June 20, 2019 at the Elks Lodge (325 Elks Lane, North Bay, ON P1B 7Z4).
