I'm an old friend of Jo-Ann's sister, Kim and knew Jo-Ann in her early teens ... she was a sweet spunky little kid then and from the memoirs that I've read, she grew into a wonderful adult. My condolences to your family, especially Ann and Paul Holding - no parent should have a child pre-decease them. My sincere sympathies to all.

Drew, Julie, Paul, Ann

We were devastated when we heard the news of Jo-Ann's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.She had been home only a few days after spending a week with us in Kentville, NS. We took her to Cornwallis (Andrew had been there for basic military training), Digby, Lunenberg, Peggy's Cove and all the local spots. We had good food, good drink, and lots of laughs. That will be our memories.

Drew, Julie and family
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss.
Jo was a very special person and I had the privilege of being her friend. Jo had just knitted me a lap blanket for my birthday. I will always treasure that gift because it came from her heart and truly represented her kind, generous and thoughtful spirit. I hope you can take solace from the knowledge that Jo always spoke with pride when talking about you both. I (and everyone who knew her) will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
