Joy passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on October 27, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife to Robert George Walpole. Loving mother to Bob Walpole (Pat), Stuart Walpole, Diane Kunder, Duane Walpole and Margaret Hewak  (Mike). Cherished grandmother to Graeme, Scott (Emily), Drew, Ben (Kristina), Julie, Courtney and Cody. Great grandmother to Raine and Sven. Joy was predeceased by her parents Fred and Margaret (nee Laronde) Simms, her sisters Beatrice Cole (Cecil-deceased) and Gayle Madge (Tom-deceased)   She is survived by her brothers Donald Simms (Marilyn-deceased) and Blair Simms (Carol). Cremation has occurred at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s Crematorium. Please join us for a Celebration of Joy’s Life at the North Bay Elks Lodge (325 Elks Lane North Bay) on Saturday November 9, 2019. Visitors are welcome to drop in between 1 pm and 4 pm.
