Marie-Jeanne (Pond) Caya

Marie-Jeanne passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on May 18, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Marie-Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved husband Henri Caya (2008). Beloved mother to Madeleine Chenier (Raymond), Suzette Lamothe (Roger), Réjeanne Gaisford, Henriette Tremblay (Robert), Jean Caya (Diane -deceased) and André Caya (Karen). Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 13 great grand children. Marie-Jeanne was predeceased by her son Raymond Caya, her parents Alfred and Adèle (nee Tessier) Pond, her brother Rhéal Pond (Judy-deceased), and her sisters Rose Steiner, Solange Parents (Baptiste-deceased) and Lucienne Lamarche (Valmore-deceased). She is survived by her brothers Aldège Pond (Pauline), George Pond (Claudette), and Alphège Pond (Marlene). In keeping with Marie-Jeanne’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private. The family would like to thank Dr. O’Grady, all the nurses and staff for their wonderful care, kind words and empathy extended to our family during this difficult journey.  In the Bible, it says that angels walk among us and we met them on the C1 ward of the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
