Condolences to Balen Families on the passing of Marko, known to our family as Mike. I moved away over 35 years ago during the time Main Street in North Bay changed the business landscape over the years but, as I remember from an age of a young man I once was, can still recall many shops. My parents Gloria Souliere (nee Veltri) and Lawrence Souliere deceased had frequent visits to Rosenberg's Men's and Boy's Wear ahead of holidays and school.

It was Mike's kind nature easy pleasing to children, parents alike being a parent himself having experienced among children of his own was his service appeal. His greeting smile was infectiously bright expecting with an attentive care felt each time my parents shopped. It was Rosenberg's where Mike help me pick my first suit and still hold memory standing in front of the mirror proud of choice he fated formed , to start me off feeling like a movie star.

Yesterday's memories stand outward with reflection images at my door step, that captivate influence I believe have given me so much to recognize someone special, to honor Mike for giving us the privilege to have met him. Our family shares your sorrow….remembering Mike for his bounty of generosity, kindness, fellow attachment to his neighborly customers who embrace Mike’s compassion and love he gave freely. Mike....this is for you. Till we meet again.

Joseph (Joey) Souliere. Toronto, Ontario.
