Passed away peacefully on May 7, 2019 at the age of 89 years. She is now reunited with her soul mate and husband Harvey and her daughter Denise. She will be deeply missed by her many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Monica loved working as a Nurse on the maternity floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital but her energy was spent on the fight for equality and needs of the physically and mentally challenged in this city. She was an advocate and inspiration to many. Monica was an amazing cook, had a green thumb and could sew and knit anything. She was a beautiful woman with a kind soul and she touched the hearts of many. We love you and we will miss you. Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 11 am until 2 pm. A prayer service will be celebrated at 11 am. Donations to Nady or Community Living (North Bay) would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Monica’s family would like to express their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Jinnah for her care, compassion and professionalism shown to our mom and family. Thank-you to the VON, North East LIHN and the Nurse’s on C3 at the NBRHC for their care and guidance.
