Raymond Larochelle November 26 1925-July 11 2019

Son of Jerry and Marie-Done Larochelle (deceased).  Brother to Anita (Habby-passed) Joron and Bertha (Earl) Sullivan (both passed).

Uncle to Ron (Jeannie) Sullivan and their children Randy (Linda) Sullivan, Tammy (Tim) McBride & Cathy (Greg) Richardson; Sandra Sullivan (deceased), Sheryl (Peter – deceased) Lazaridis and their children John (Kimberley) Lazaridis & Sandra (Jake) Redmond; Judy Sullivan and her children Beverly Hudson and Lawrence Hudson.

Great-Great Uncle to Blake, Hunter, Gordie, Michael, Tyler, Brett, Maya, Miriam, Merida, Deion, Troy, Brandon, Austin, Samantha, Donovan, Justin, Amber.

Raymond was born in Callander on November 26 1925.  At the age of 16, he spent all of his spare time learning the many facets of the lumber operations and workings of a saw mill.  When Raymond finished school, he followed his father’s (Jerry Larochelle) path to the lumber business and took on a more responsible role in the Frawley Lake Co. 

In 1977, he obtained his Certificate of Qualifications as a Stationary Engineer Third Class from the Ministry of Consumer & Commercial Relations.

From 1958-1963 Raymond was the youngest Reeve for the North Himsworth Township at the age of 32.

Although in failing health the last several years, he remained committed to managing his own affairs and living on his own.  He always kept tabs on his sister Anita and greatly enjoyed their day trips with Ronnie and Jeannie to Burger World, Wal-Mart and Tims.

However tragic his final moments were, Uncle Raymond passed on his terms, on his time and at his home.

Family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday July 18, 2019 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
