Rhéal  passed away peacefully on Sunday March 25th, 2018 at the West Nipissing General Hospital following his battle with lung cancer at the age of 81 years. By his side was his wife of 37 years, Diane Trudeau (nee Lamothe). His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children Daniel Trudeau, Diane Provencher (Frank) and Michel Trudeau as well as his step-children Roch Roy (Chantal), Julie Roy and Lizan Roy (Dominic). Rhéal was known as the best Pepère to his grandchildren Serge (Marianna), Mathieu, Patrick, Kasandra, Joëlle, Christine and Marc-Olivier and his great grand children Caleb, Noah, Léo and Audrey. Rhéal was born on November 17th, 1936 to father Albert Trudeau and mother Lina (nee Coursol) who predeceased him. He grew up in a large and loving family with Normand Trudeau -predeceased, Laurette Henrie (Maurice), Georgette Lagrandeur -predeceased (Tim-surviving), Jeannette Gour -predeceased, Laurent Trudeau (Joyce), Roland Trudeau (Diane), Lionel Trudeau (Lorraine), Claudette Gagnon, Marcel Trudeau (Colette), Rénald Trudeau (Diane) and Denis Trudeau (Colette). Rhéal was also predeceased by his first wife Jeannette Trudeau (nee Vaillant). Rhéal loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was kind and soft spoken, and always had time to help his family and friends in need, even in sickness.  In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child and grand child or take the time to help a neighbour or a friend. Time waits for no one. In keeping with Rheal’s wishes cremation will occur. The family will receive visitors for a memorial visitation to celebrate Rheal’s life at the McGuinty Funeral Home (123 Railway Street Sturgeon Falls) on Saturday April 14, 2018 from 11am to 2pm. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Beaucage and all the Nurses and Staff at West Nipissing General for their care and compassion.
