Rita J (Martin) Dufresne

DUFRESNE, Rita Jeannette (née Martin) June 26, 1933 - July 6, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Rita's passing on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, with her family by her side.  Rita passed away early Saturday morning to join her beloved husband of 61 years, Maurice "Moe" Dufresne, to dance and golf together, once again.  Rita was a devoted, loving mother who will be forever missed by her children, Michel (Hélène Dupuis), Jules (Cindy Sanders), Richard (Gaby Bélanger), Pierre (Diana Boughner) and Lynn (Chris Scott).  Cherished mémère of Jason, Natalie, Chantal, Jozée, Roch, Jeffrey, Cassandra, Alexander and Keerstyn.  Loving great-grandmother of Kaylee, Vyanna, Kamilya, Taylor, Anjolie, Hunter, Riley, Kasey, Chelsea, Raedyn, Jérémie, Logan and Ryland.  Grand-maman will be walking hand-in-hand with her precious angel, great-granddaughter Chloé, forevermore.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and her love will carry them through this difficult time.  Rita was predeceased by her parents Lorenzo and Eva (née Boivin) Martin.  Dear sister of Jacqueline St-Pierre of Sturgeon Falls, Bernadette Villeneuve (deceased), and Marc Martin (deceased).  Longtime family friends, Rick and Judy Parisien, will miss their buddy but will have many fond memories to make them smile as they mourn her loss.  We will all miss her mischievous smile and will never forget "the look" she bestowed on us when she was not quite happy with one of our silly antics.  Rita will never be forgotten by all those who were so very fortunate to know her.  You will be missed and never forgotten.  Family will receive friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday from 11am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2 pm.  Thank you to the staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, unit A3 and C3 for all your care, concern and support.  Finally, to Dr. Joel Carter and his team, thank you for going above and beyond and for the exceptional care that was provided to Rita.
