It is with sadness that the Cook family announces the passing of Ron, in his 85th year. After stoically battling a lengthy illness, our father died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Isabelle (Urquhart) and Len Cook Sr. and brother, Len Cook (Rose-deceased). Ron is survived by his sister, Phyllis Lafleur of B.C. He will be greatly missed by his children Catherine, Christine (Greg) and Carey (Linda), along with his grandsons Joshua (Kalina) and Dustin (Rachel) and his great-grandchildren Carter, Jayden and Kiera. Cremation has taken place as per Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of Ron’s health care providers who made it possible for him to fulfill his wish to remain in his home until his death, specifically Dr. Renee Gauthier for her compassionate care and support throughout this journey, LHIN, and the VON’s many wonderful nurses and PSWs. Ron died as he lived… always on his own terms.
